It's my experience that this year of ford drivetrain is so tightly packaged that to do what you need will be thwarted at the very onset of such a venture! Trade it away before you even lift it! The shop discount alone will buy you a good,running vehicle on the open market! Sure. Safety first. Make sure you have it on jack stands, and the wheels blocked. As long as you can clear the lower cross member of your frame, you ought to be able to pull this on your own. drain oil (like for an oil change), remove bolts from the pan. Remove pan (you'll likely need a stiff metal scraper or putty knife for this). Clean the surface of the oil pan and the engine (scrap off old gasket material). Intall new gasket on pan. Reinstall pan. That ought to do it. But make sure you can get the pan off. I am not familiar with this model. If the crossmember or other framing/exhaust/bracketry items are in the way, this can be a problem.
Run down to your local library and get a Chiltons or similar manual for your year vehicle and see what they recommend. Good luck.

Can I use cooking oil on my sewing machine? I am in the middle of a sewing project and don't have machine oil.
DON'T DO IT! It'll gum up your machine and you'll either have a frozen sewing head, or you'll have to clean out the machine and relube properly, or pay to have it done. And don't use WD-40 -- it's a solvent, not a lubricant.

i never took art classes but did an oil painting on canvas awhile back with no preparation. just took a paintbrush and went at it...it came out fine. but i researched afterward and found quite a bit of preparation-practically made my head spin!

i always protect from heat as the cold start up is only a minute or so look at what temp the highest temp you anticipate before your next change and use that oil
i ruined an engine on a vw rabbit water cooled engine i took advice from a oil expert and added 10w 30 oil it cooked in about 1 month as the oil broke down the outside temp was in the upper 90's the owners Manuel stated 10w30 shouldn't be used above 75

Grab almost any owners manual and look in the customer data area there will be a thermometer illustrated there with viscosity chart showing -35 degrees 0wt-, 5wt-30 at the bottom and and as temp averages go up slightly heavier oil at 100 degrees 10wt-40. 15wt-50 and so on. In the artic -60 degrees they do not turn off engines because they will not restart. Super cold temps need oil that won't freeze solid and still flow.

I sent my resume and then I received the contract terms of agreement letter for the TEXACO'S PHASE 2 EXPANSION OF THE CAPTAIN FIELD OIL PROJECT, SCOTLAND saying to proceed with the signing of the document and the company's HR OFFICER'S address is

I am copmletely unaware of these types of companies.
actually when i checked the detailed address of the company onyx oil ltd. i found the address to be correct but when i tried to contact them the person on the line said he could'nt answer me properly and didn't know about this.

I guess it depends what you want it for, and what may be in it. If it is for fuel, there are various safety issues. These contracts usually have clauses i.e. if after 6 months you havent found any oil you get out and let the next company try.
More than likely this is the case or the oil company can sue the *** of that country for breaking contract

anyway your courage should be paid well; a part for example monster.com, i would simple search on the net whose is operating there and contact them directly (at their home office AND locally); also check all those subcontractor companies from all over the world and contact them directly, sending a resume/cv and the your motivation (for ex no family etc), why you are ready to work in a high risk environment
...in alternative you may go also in Iraq (where this month they start to make pieces of the petrol cake), the pay may be even higher for similar risk level (depends where you work);

Why doesn't the United States do a Mahatan Project to find ways to be free of foreigen dependence on oil?
In 2005, the Bush White House was able to pass the Energy Policy Act of 2005 which subsidized the first nuclear reactors built in our country in decades. Funds were given for up to 6 reactors produced by private companies and one was to be produced by the Department of Energy. It also subsized energy companies to invest in alternative energy technology and exploration. A majority of the Democrats in both the House and Senate voted against this bill.
Of course, neither of these bill have solved the problems of America's future energy needs, and frankly, until our nation becomes willing to produce nuclear power stations and invest in technology to produce synthetic petroleum from this nuclear energy (scientists at Los Alamos labs estimate that it can be produced for about $4.78 per gallon as is now), we're going to have problems.
Thing is, our nation is sitting on an oil reserve bigger than Saudi Arabia's, but it's locked in the form of coal. If we advance liquid coal technology, we can escape from dependency on foreign oil. Problem being our nation's environmental laws prevent this from being developed.
Further, all attempts to push through nuclear power plants and oil refineries have been met with stiff resistance by Democrats and have not passed until 2005. Right now, Brazil is producing nuclear power plants many times more efficient than what we have here in the US, though our newest ones should be far better when they finally come into operation.
Congress has been doing our nation a great disservice for some 25-years. Until our politicians from both parties get serious about:
1) developing the natural resources we have
2) developiong nuclear energy (afterall, France gets 80% from nuclear)
we're going to be hurting in this country.
EDIT: And for all the complaining I hear about oil companies in this country, very few actually understand the situation. Exxon-Mobile, our nation's largest oil company, holds rights to 1.08% of the world's known oil reserves. The vast majority of the rest is held by state run socialist companies such as in Venezuela, Mexico, and Iran. Exxon is far more efficient than these companies and is but one reason oil costs less in the US than elsewhere. Yes, it's the most profitable corporation on earth, but its profit margin is only about 8%, which is less than the federal and state governments are getting from oil.Why doesn't the United States do a Mahatan Project to find ways to be free of foreigen dependence on oil?
The oil lobby has to much influence on the Congress and would never allow it to happen.
But in theory this would be a good idea. Except that the US does not have the oil capacity to support the nation's rate of consumption so there is really not a lot anyone could do but support green initiatives and try to cut back on consumption.
I would think imposing legislation that would put minimum limits on car's gas efficiency would be in order. Say for instance the least mpg's a car should get should be 25 miles a gallon. This combined with lowering the national speed limit to 55 would cut back on oil consumption.
And like Obama said, we should investigate whether these oil companies are engaging in price gouging and if they are we should impose fines or sanctions against them. We must uncover their unprofessional predatory tactics against the American people.
But in reality, other countries are paying the equivalent of $6-7 per gallon so why are Americans complaining?
And we should not rely so heavily on OPEC (or at least plan not to in the coming years).
We need to invest in green initiatives, solar power, hydrogen power, electric powered vehicles and end this dependency on foreign oil.

WE need to know a little more. Is F %26amp; G fuel and gas? Does it mean a detector that can detect computible vapors and gasses? By addressable do you mean that each detector identifies itself when it reports a change of state?

They will send me my plane ticket via courier including a Hard Copy of the Offer Letter and Certificate of Employment.
They told me that my starting day is on the 6th of April but I have to be in Nigeria a week before for the orientation. This is just to pressure me.

In l916 M.C. Nobles, a wholesale grocer of Amarillo, and T.J. Moore, a traveling salesman for Nobles, consulted with Gould about the possibility of oil in the Texas Panhandle. They employed Gould to return with them to the Panhandle to examine the structure.
The Amarillo Oil Co. was then formed in 1917 after favorable reports were given by both Gould and Robert S. Dewey. A 70,000 acre lease was obtained, being primarily located on the R.B. Masterson and Lee Bivins ranches in Potter County. After a year and two months the first well in the Texas Panhandle, the Hapgood, was completed at a cost of $70,000. The Hapgood with a total depth of 2,605 feet produced 15,000,000 cubic feet of gas per day.

Pampa grew more in proportion than any other town in the county. Leases were selling anywhere from one to five dollars an acre. After rotary drilling was introduced to the Panhandle, the average time to drill a 3,000 foot well was 20 days. Today the same depth well takes approximately four to five days.
Several of the oil wells of particular interest in the Gray County oil development include the Taconian No. 1 Sullivan drilled two miles southwest of Pampa by independent producers. Measure, by observation, which one was cleaned the best.

I'm looking for an article to explain the Tar Sands (or Oil Sands) project in Canada, but all I've found are blog entries criticizing how environmentally harmful it is. The big question I've heard raised about Tar Sands is will the price support it. It's really expensive. If oil goes back up in price it may be financially viable. If it stays depressed, it won't be able to compete regular oil drilling.
One thing to remember whenever you are talking about whether or not to get oil from someplace environmentally sensitive is to follow the money. The noise will get a lot louder when prices go up, even more than you think it might.
Think of it this way... you have a garden in your back yard. Under that garden you have one barrel of oil. If the price of that barrel of oil is $20, and it would cost you $15 to dig it up, the value of the oil is really only $5 to you. If the cost of oil goes up to $40 a barrel the value of the oil to you hasn't doubled, it's increased 5 fold ($40-$15=$25), so relatively small increases in the price of oil will send lobbyists scrambling to drill for oil in places that you might not want dug up. The same thing happens again at each level in the supply chain.
Tar Sand takes a lot of energy to harvest a relatively small amount of oil, so it's not one of the better options. You have to dig up the ground and smoosh the oil out. That's the same problem with biodiesel too. It takes a whole lot of energy to produce.
Tar Sands actually have something in common with solar and wind too. They only get a lot of investment when the price of oil goes through the roof. A sudden price drop can bankrupt all of them. If I was in charge of OPEC I would flood the market with oil every couple of years just to kill off all the solar and wind farms then jack the price up.
