can u help me??What are the materials to be needed in accomplishing this project- purifying used cooking oil?
I guess it depends what you want it for, and what may be in it. If it is for fuel, there are various safety issues. For example local fire regulations don't allow storage of more than a few tens of liters of methanol etc you might use in making biofuel, but you can find various ';recipes'; for the processes on the internet by searching for home bio-fuel, which include methods for processing the oil. In some ways, you need to know what contaminants to remove, for example is there salt in the oil.

The engine oil for large diesels is often reused using two processes - gentle heating to remove acids and water which accumulate during operation by evaporation, and a centrifuge (like a cream separator) to remove solids.
