im working on a science project about oil spills water pollution and stuff like that?What is a good science project for oil spills?

Do some research on Texaco in Ecuador, Texaco dumped their toxic wastes from oil drilling into the land. The drinking water became contaminated, and now thousands of people are suffering from diseases and cancers from it. There is a movie called Crude Impact that should give you a lot of ideas for a project.
